Help..i wanna be a loner,but i am confused too?

hey,m 22 year girl,earlier i used to like hanging out with my friends,always wanted to be in limelight and was a star in my friend circle but as i am growing i am getting introvert day by day,dont know but i like to be a loner,coz when i am alone i do things better n feel more confident and found no dependency..but as my brother said s you need contacts to grow yourself in society and to learn in this world we need each other,that really irritates me coz when i m alone i know sky has limit for me and i hate ering and following ppl...help m confused....
